Make sure you have some space on your PS5 if you plan to play The prophesiedbecause the file size is not exactly small.
Arguably the biggest bane in any console player’s life when it comes to organizing their digital library is figuring out which games to keep downloaded. This is entirely because games are huge these days, and it turns out Forspoken is no different. According to PlayStation game size (With thanks, Push Square), Forspoken’s download size currently sits at a pretty hefty 87,275 GB, and it’s clear we don’t know if a day one patch is coming to the game or not.
Obviously downloading some data and losing about half an hour isn’t the worst thing in the world, but when it comes to a game like Forspoken, you have to hope it’s worth losing that time . An ad showing off the game last year was so bad and immediately produced a slew of memes and pisstakes (which Square Enix has seen, by the way), casting the game in a not-so-favorable light.
Hopefully the game itself is good though, as Luminous Productions (the same team behind Final Fantasy 15) hopes that Forspoken can be a solution to the open-world fatigue many of us have. Part of that process of trying to cure that disease was looking at titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man and Ghost of Tsushima as the team didn’t just want to focus on cool spells, they wanted to be interesting to travel the world .
Fans had a chance to try the game for themselves thanks to a demo released back in December, but some were concerned about the demo’s lackluster side quests. Square Enix clarified that the demo was made specifically to give a feel for the game, so don’t worry too much about what it was like as it won’t fully reflect the final game.
